About
Houselight began in early 2018 when Jayne McLendon set out to produce the new play Capsized, written by fellow Brown/Trinity Rep MFA student Octavia Chavez-Richmond. A workshop at Cherry Lane was followed by the short film adaptation Lolita Express, shot in Los Angeles the summer of 2019. Since then, Houselight has produced films shooting in Los Angeles, Detroit and New York.
After growing as a cohort for three years in the Brown/Trinity actor incubator, Jayne started Houselight to be an artistic home for graduates of the Brown/Trinity program and other joyous, like-minded (or rather, like-hearted) artists.
